So, the welcome party kinda started without us. We had a little nap in the afternoon and when we woke up, we looked at the amount of light outside and Hashanti's watch still set at GMT+2 and arrived at the misguided conclusion that it was around 17h40. But then we started hearing lots of laughter downstairs and recalculated and realised it was 19h45 and guests had already started arriving. We got out of bed and got dressed and got downstairs to find way too much food on the table and way too much alcohol in the fridge, in cooler boxes and on the counter!
Well, neither the alcohol nor the food ever got finished, we opened the fridge this morning to find it overflowing! We also found a friend of my aunt had passed out on the couch!
By around 1am we had found we couldn't really keep our eyes open, but the party was still in full swing. There had been people still walking in the door at midnight. My aunt has some interesting friends:

There's the DJ who also sells 100% natural Magic Power Coffee: serving passion one cup at a time. For best results you drink it 30-45 minutes before engaging in sexual intercourse.
His name is DJ Eric, Mr E. He promised to take us out where there are some young people, cos he could see we weren't feeling the crowd, just a bit too old for us he thought, except for himself of course!
Then there w

as the hair dresser who jumped up from her seat when a Michael Jackson song came on and started doing the moon walk and telling us about how much she loves Michael. And that Michael was actually murdered by the mafia, his doctor was hired to kill him. She didn't stop talking about Michael for about 20min. The conclusion of the discussion was that he's actually not dead, he's somewhere with 2-Pac and Notorious BIG and they're going to release an album in 2012. Then she moved on to Whitney Houston.

My favourite person at the party had to be Jimmy. He was educating us about the superiority of Washington D.C. and of course everything we saw that was modern was invented in Washington or by a Washingtonian, including the hookah pipe. He was quite surprised that we were wearing normal clothing and knew how to use a flushing toilet. He's coming by in a little bit to take us out and educate us some more, so I'd better go and get dressed. And he promised that tomorrow he's going to take us to a baseball game!
OMG your aunt looks soo sweet and so much like you! And I love the heels! Did you try some of the magic power coffee??
